FAQ
We hope these FAQs answer any questions that you might have but if it does not then contact us at office@abletutors.co.uk
What is your recruitment process?
All tutors are interviewed and recruited following similar procedures as schools follow for hiring teachers. Only 5% of the applicants pass the final stage of the recruitment process. All candidates go through Identity checks, CV checks, and EDBS checks, and at least two references are undertaken before assigning a new tutor, i.e. one professional reference and one parent/guardian reference. Regular feedback from clients and each tutor’s track record of success are also kept to ensure the quality of our tutors.
What should I do if I am not happy with first assigned tutor?
If you are unsatisfied with the tutor after the first trial lesson, you can request a replacement tutor. We understand that getting the right fit and chemistry with the tutor is highly important in the tutor-matching process.
How do i pay for the lessons?
Invoices are generated by the tutor through our tuition management software (tutorcruncher). Invoices are generated after each lesson and are due to be paid within three days. Your tutor cruncher account can store your payment details, which will allow you to auto-pay invoices. Never offer payments of any kind directly to the tutor. Late payments for invoices result in delays to the tutor’s pay.
How will i receive the reports?
Our tuition management software keeps a record of lessons, reports and documents for you and your tutors.
I need to change the day or time of tuition, who should i contact?
Speak with the tutor first to rearrange the lesson days and times. If you and the tutor cannot come to a resolution, then please contact us at office@abletutors.co.uk
Am I tied to a contract?
No, you can stop lessons whenever you want. We just require that you give us/your tutor at least 24 hours’ notice.
I wish to book additional hours of tuition. how do i do this?
Many
parents request additional tuition before exams or during holidays. The dates
and times should be booked with the tutor providing reasonable notice to ensure
you get your preferred dates and times.
